chasms, canyons, and corridors
i suspect that the unconscious inspiration for this series came from growing up in new york city where verticality is the dominant phenomena. towers of glass and steel, reflecting crazy light and affording only fleeting glimpses of the rivers, the parks and the sky. the color palette for many of these is inspired by the colors of the landscape and the wild animal populations of uganda.
